Working Group

The 4D Seismic Hub Working Group oversees the curation and development of this project. Its purpose is to ensure that contributions are accurate, properly attributed, and consistent with the goals of the community.

Membership is open to anyone with a sustained interest in time-lapse seismic who is willing to volunteer time to review pull requests, attend occasional meetings, and help steer the project.

Mission

• Foster an open and collaborative environment for sharing 4D seismic knowledge.
• Maintain a high-quality repository of open presentations, case studies, and tutorials.
• Encourage best practices in acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
• Provide a neutral forum where operators, service companies, and academics can exchange ideas.

Structure and Membership

The working group operates by consensus. All members are equal. We typically meet quarterly via teleconference to discuss the direction of the hub and review new content submissions. Current members (initial volunteers):

AI-Driven Governance

To ensure the highest standards of data integrity, the Working Group employs a specialized AI Maintenance Agent. This digital collaborator:

• Automates Audits: Performs real-time schema and coordinate validation on all contributions.
• Accelerates Curation: Intelligently extracts decision intelligence from technical sources.
• Guarantees Consistency: Enforces strict geophysical unit and formatting standards across the repository.

The logic and scripts governing the Agent are open-source and located in the 4d-seismic-hub-maintenance/ directory.
