Iceland’s Law No. 67/2022 amended environmental-health, environmental-assessment and climate legislation to implement the EU geological-storage framework and expressly regulate underground CO2 storage, including mineralisation. It provides the legal basis used for permitting storage projects such as Carbfix. This replaces the unsupported database description of a separate 2024 “CDR framework”.
